Hello and welcome to the blog.
As the title suggests this will be a home for my rambling thoughts, specifically on the Horus Heresy series published by Black Library.
I’ve started on a read of the whole series and want this to be a place to collect my thoughts, given that the series is 54 books long containing countless novels, novellas and short stories! The furthest I have ever read is book 28, Scars, and that was at the end of a read through from book 1, Horus Rising. This time I want to break my read through up into manageable chunks so I don’t burn out.
I hope to use the blog to be a place where I can give a short summary of each book along with my thoughts, and maybe even suggested next reads that fit in narratively. I don’t intend the blog to be place to be overly critical of authors or works so I won’t be using any form of ranking system. To help me through a reading order I am going to be using the publication list found here, Tymell’s site is a great resource in providing a full chronological timeline for the whole heresy.
